Flight to Cairns to visit/explore the Great Barrier Reef - definite highlight!! I was totally uncertain as to whether I would snorkel, what with the sharks and all....but the crew on the boat were fantastic and I ventured out with one of the crew (Joel) and found myself snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef - way too cool! Alex scuba dived as well as snorkelled. We stopped at two spots and by the second spot, I was snorkeling on my own and with Alex. We also toured the reef in a glass bottom boat. Now that my first attempt at snorkelling has been the Great Barrier Reef, where do you go from there? Totally enjoyed our day on the boat, the weather was perfect, the water was calm and met very nice people (that's right Cheryl and Daniel, talkin' about you). Would definitely do it again!!

Wow! I'm extremely jealous of the snorkeling and scuba diving in the great barrier reef, definitely one thing i want to do before I die (knock on wood). Im glad your having a good time and am excited for you to get back so we can see some photos.
