At our B and B we finally saw living kangaroos in the wild (sadly, we had seen many dead ones already at the side of the road). The B and B was a 460 acre farm next to a reserve and there was a full mob of kangaroos on the field along with the farmer's bulls. We couldn't get close - they are very skittish, but using the binoculars we could see that one of them had a joey in the pouch.
