Picked up our rental car and headed out of Sydney - was a little nervous about driving on the wrong side of the road. Alex did a great job of driving! Stopped at a little town called Berry for lunch; then drove through the beautiful Kangaroo Valley. Stopped at Fitzroy Falls for a short walk then contined on to the capital Canberra. City was pretty much a ghost town, everyone is away on the coast for their summer holidays.Ever planning a trip to Australia, you can skip Canberra. Actually had difficulty finding a place to eat - it was a national holiday as New Years Day was on a Sunday.
