Hike to "Mary's Rock" (Official Name for real)

Feeling confident from the day before, I set out on the hike up to Mary's Rock.  Right away, I could tell that this hike would be different:  a) it was much steeper than the previous hike and b) the path was very narrow and the vegetation was low and dense.  If there was a bear about, I would not have as much warning and was feeling quite claustrophobic; just as I was having this thought and looking anxiously into the bush, I nearly stepped in some very fresh bear scat. This meant that a bear was very nearby!  I insisted that Alex sing as if there was sound, the bear(s) were suppose to disperse - I wasn't taking any chances.  So Alex, while climbing up a steep path did me the courtesy of singing - I was too busy looking in the bush to sing.  We reached the top, took a picture (Alex brought a book that he hoped to sit and read - Not) and headed back down the mountain, while singing all the way. And no, we did not see a bear on this trail although there was evidence of one or more on the path.

Didn't pose long for a picture, for if a bear appeared, one is supposed to walk backwards slowly, and as you can tell, any backward walking from this point would be, well - plain deadly!
