Opera House, Sydney Australia
The Opera House is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (2007). It is one of the 20th Century's most distinctive buildings and is a world famous performing arts centre. The Opera House opened in 1973 a a cost of $102 million dollars. There are about 7 million people who visit this site each year with about 300,000 people taking a guided tour. We did not have the opportunity to go in but we walked around. It always looks white from pictures but it is in fact more beige in colour. It is of course a very touristy area and that makes it an expensive area.
