Goldilocks and her bears

We were told that it is more likely to see bears at dawn or dusk as they like to come out eat the grass along the side of the road. With that in mind and the fact that I was in an approximate 2,000 pound piece of steel and the bear at best could be about 550 pounds we set off for the Skyline Mountain Road.  While travelling up the mountain, a Black Bear ran out in front of my car causing me to slam on the brakes. Alex tried to get its picture but it hopped quickly over the road barrier.  Bear number two, was "too fast".

Bear jumped the barrier and can be seen in the left of the photo.

We continued to look for bears throughout our drive and it wasn't until we were leaving the park, that we spotted bear number three and he was "just right!" We watched him forage through the field until we couldn't see him anymore.

Clearly you can see his ears and body

He's moving on
Back at the Inn we mused how the first bear was too slow and wouldn't go away. The second bear was too fast and wouldn't stay for a photo and the third bear was just right!  Fairy Tales Do Come True!
